Q-mmunity Connections
Q-mmunity Connections is recommencing from Monday 4th November!
Q-mmunity Connections is aimed at fostering social connections for older LGBTQIAP+ Victorians through psychoeducation and shared activities. Each session, attendees will have opportunities to connect, share, laugh, and learn. Different topics are explored each session, including arts and crafts, emotions, cooking, mindfulness, exercise, and many more.
When: Every Monday 2pm to 4pm
Where: Kathleen Syme Community Centre (251 Faraday Street, Carlton)
Cost: Free

Caring No Cost Counselling Clinic

12-week low-cost counselling clinic - The Iceberg Foundation
From this week for the next 12 weeks, The Iceberg Foundation are offering people low-cost counselling sessions either in person at our Footscray space or via telehealth.
The only eligibility criteria is that people need to be over 18 years old to access the low cost counselling clinic.
The fees are:
60-minute session: $50 [$30 with a healthcare card]
75-minute session: $75 [$50 with a healthcare card]

Researchers at UNSW and Black Dog Institute
Researchers at UNSW and Black Dog Institute are conducting a project about suicidality and help-seeking behaviours in members of the LGBTQIA+ community
The research study is looking recruit people who meet the following criteria:
· Aged 18 years or above
· Currently living in Australia
· Proficient in English
· Currently or has previously identified as a person who is diverse in their sexuality and/or gender presentation (e.g. lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer or questioning, intersex, asexual or any other term that represents a diverse gender or sexuality)
· Has had an experience within their lifetime where they have had thoughts of suicide, have self-harmed, or have attempted suicide
Participants will be asked to complete the following research activities if they agree to participate:
· An online survey that will take approximately 30 minutes to complete.
